Laforêt

Vresse-sur-Semois
(Province Namur)
Ardenne

Standing on the left bank of the Semois, amid agricultural land where previously grew fields of tobacco, Laforêt nestles in a setting of greenery.
Concentrated around two parallel streets embracing the church, its little cottages have “three-celled” facades of schist from the local quarries.
Wood, stone and brick feature in the frameworks of the windows and doors.
Each end of the village has a listed drinking trough-cum-washhouse.
