Nestling at the head of the Gobertange Valley and offering wide-open landscapes, Mélin is huddled around its church.
The houses of white stone, called Gobertange stone, are lovingly bedecked in flowers.
The blind gables of the buildings perpendicular to the street and the L or U-shaped constructions, with the paved areas systemically bordered by a low wall or gate adorn and characterise the street area.
The harmonious combination of this white stone and brick gives the village its homogeneity.
